File SpecificationAdCity Graphics Group is a PC base company, we use Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 software. If customer want to supply computer data for artwork production, please use the following standard.
Disk Format
Data Format
* Size of the graphics must resize below 11"x17"
* Size of the graphics must resize below 11"x17"
**Do not send logos, graphics or cliparts in Word Processing or Layout Program (like MSWord, Pagemake...), send them in one of the above graphic formats (like tif, eps...) individually.
Using the right program
If customer want to prepare your own file, please use the right program. Word processing program (like: MS Word) and entry level graphics program (like: MS publisher) are not use for professional layout, and it does not support text/illustration/photo like those high-end layout program (like: QuarkXPress, Pagemaker). You can print it out in your laser printer, but not in our Postscript Imagesetter. Please contact our technical personnel before preparing your own job file.
Compression
Jobs with mutli-files can be compress into one file by compression programs, like WinZip, PKZip....., we use WINZIP and Stuffit for PC & MAC compressed file.
File Name
For all file names, please use English name only. Don't use any multi-lingual file name. English file name can be read/write by any systems, but not the other way round.

LPI / DPI
For graphic by hand drawing or printed material
* if process printed matter need to reuse, size of those graphics must be 300% of final size
Resolution of bit-map graphics file
When you provide the color / greyscale bit-map photo graphics, set the DPI 150%~200% of the final output (LPI). e.g. output as 150lpi, you have to scan all bit-map graphics at [100% of final size] of [225dpi ~ 300dpi]. RGB format is prefer for color photo. We will convert format to CMYK base on printing request.
For Stochastic screening / Diamond screening / Crystal Raster screening output, plase use [100% of final size] at 400dpi, for about 150lpi~175lpi printing. RGB format is prefer for color photo. We will convert format to CMYK base on printing request.
For line art graphics, set the DPI 100% of the final output DPI. e.g. output as 150lpi/2540dpi, you have to scan all line art bit-map at [100% of final size] of [2540dpi]. (minimum DPI for line art is 600DPI)
* Don't set DPI more than 200% of the final LPI or DPI, it waste memory and time, when processing output. Customer may need to pay for those wasted time.
* Use PhotoShop or any graphics program to resample the right resolution before placing into layout program. Do not just scale up or down within layout program.
Fonts
You may use some special fonttype inside your design, please call and check with us to confirm we have the same font file, or copy all special fonts with your data file. For Corel Draw user, you may convert all font to curve.
We support Truetype and PostScript Type 1 font.
Special Notes
If data file supplied by customer is not well prepare and require AdCity to reorganize the data file, additional cost may be charge.
Please send a backup of your file, do not send the original. AdCity cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any customer's materials or files, Liability is limited to the value of our raw materials only.
